Summary

European Digital Rights (EDRi) supports statements reaffirming the need to secure encryption for privacy and security, and recalls the need to promote its use by default. Encryption is the basis of security for social, business, and government transactions, and undermining trust in its integrity and confidentiality would harm modern digital society.
