The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued Trade Notice 01/2023-24, effective April 6, 2023, regarding the issuance of Export Obligation Discharge Certificates (EODC) for Advance Authorisation (AA) and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) schemes. Key points include:

Online application for redemption/closure of licence can be submitted through the DGFT website.
 Two routes are available: with validation (complete dataset available) and without validation (with data exceptions).
EPCG closure applications can also be submitted online without validation.
 For physical file submissions, authorisation holders can update EODC status online, and Regional Authorities (RAs) can update licence status and generate EODC letters online.
If physical submission is required, applicants can apply for redemption online (without validation), and RAs will examine and correspond online.
 EODCs issued online are transmitted to Customs ICEGATE System in near real-time.
Manual or legacy IT system (LEMIS System) issuance of EODCs is discontinued with immediate effect.
 RAs must generate MIS reports based on online data updates.
