DERRIMON TRADING – JAMAICA Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) includes several actions and deliverables, such as:
- Developing an Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS)
- Creating an ESHS policy, risk and impacts identification matrix, and management plans
- Preparing an organigram of ESHS staff, training schedules, and emergency preparedness and response plan
- Developing a stakeholder engagement plan and monitoring and audit procedure
- Implementing labor and working conditions policies, including human resources policies, grievance mechanism, occupational health and safety plan, and workers engaged by third parties
- Achieving resource efficiency and pollution prevention through targets and measurements of environmental indicators, waste management plan, and hazardous materials management
- Conserving biodiversity and managing living natural resources through supplier selection and evaluation procedure. Deliverables are due at various times, including six and nine months after the first disbursement, and as part of the E&S Compliance report (ESCR).
