General Provisions

The EUIPO offers four traineeship programmes: Pan-European Seal Professional, Young Professionals, Junior IP Employees, and Unpaid Traineeship.
Traineeships aim to provide training in intellectual property rights, practical knowledge of the Office's daily work, and extend and apply knowledge acquired in studies or working life.
The Office benefits from the input of trainees, creating a pool of people with first-hand experience of the EU trade mark and Community design system.

Eligibility

Trainees must be nationals of EU Member States, with a limited number of positions available for nationals of candidate countries and third countries.
Candidates must have completed at least the first cycle of a higher education course and have a thorough knowledge of one of the EUIPO's working languages (English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish).
Previous working experience requirements vary depending on the traineeship programme.

Admission Procedure

The number of traineeships available is decided by the Executive Director, taking into account budgetary appropriations and departmental capacity.
Trainees are selected based on general provisions and specific requirements for each programme.
Candidates are responsible for obtaining necessary visas and documentation.

Conditions of Traineeship

Traineeships are typically held at the EUIPO's premises in Alicante, Spain.
The Office considers applications without discrimination on grounds such as sex, race, or disability.
Trainees are required to keep confidential all information and documents acquired during their traineeship.
