Summary

Die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) fördert den Aufbau von Fachinformationsdiensten für die Wissenschaft, um eine nachhaltige Informationsinfrastruktur aufzubauen, die eine am Bedarf der wissenschaftlichen Fächer orientierte, vorrangig digitale und standortunabhängige Informationsversorgung gewährleistet. Die Fachinformationsdienste sollen sich am Spezialbedarf der jeweiligen Fachcommunitys orientieren und überregional fachspezifische Informationsangebote bereitstellen, die nicht zur Grundversorgung gerechnet werden können. Die DFG verfolgt das Ziel, eine übergreifende und vernetzte FID-Gesamtstruktur zu entwickeln, um die Interoperabilität der überregionalen Angebote und die nationale und internationale Anschlussfähigkeit zu gewährleisten. Die Förderung umfasst die Ausgestaltung von Fachinformationsdiensten, die Vernetzung und Kooperation zwischen den Fachinformationsdiensten sowie die Entwicklung von FID-übergreifenden Diensten und Standards.
