Summary

Der Gemeinsame Bundesausschuss (G-BA) hat am 21. April 2022 den Beschluss gefasst, die Beratung über eine Richtlinie zur Erprobung des transkranialen Magnetresonanz-gesteuerten fokussierten Ultraschalls (TK-MRgFUS) zur Behandlung des essentiellen Tremors auszusetzen. Der G-BA hatte zuvor festgestellt, dass für die Methode des TK-MRgFUS zur Behandlung von Patienten mit medikamenten-resistentem essentiellen Tremor, die für eine Tiefe Hirnstimulation (THS) infrage kommen, weder der Nutzen noch die Schädlichkeit oder die Unwirksamkeit als belegt anzusehen ist. Es werden jedoch in naher Zukunft Studien vorliegen, die geeignet sind, die notwendigen Erkenntnisse für eine abschließende Nutzenbewertung zu liefern.
