Summary

for greyhounds that have not won any flat race.
Juvenile: a greyhound is a Juvenile until and including the last day of the month corresponding to its whelping in the second year thereafter.
Grade 6: for greyhounds that have not won a Grade 5 or above at the track at the time of nomination.
Grade 5: for greyhounds that have won a Maiden and greyhounds returning from Grade 4.
Grade 4: for greyhounds that have won a Grade 5 and greyhounds returning from Grade 3.
Grade 3: for greyhounds that have won a Grade 4 and greyhounds returning from Grade 2.
Grade 2: for greyhounds that have won a Grade 3 and greyhounds returning from Grade 1.
Grade 1: for greyhounds that have won a Grade 2.
Mixed: for greyhounds that are Grade 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
Open & Free For All: for greyhounds that are Grade 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
Penalties & Awards: winners advance one grade, unplaced greyhounds drop to next lower grade.
Interstate greyhounds: graded based on wins and prizemoney, with discretion for the grader to adjust grades.
