HAC Meeting Minutes.pdf

The Historic Area Commission meeting was held on October 17, 2013, at New Castle Town Hall. The commission reviewed and voted on several new and emergency applications, including:
- A. Boland's application to install a fence and modify a deck at 122 Delaware Street, approved in concept with requirements for revised drawings and specifications.
- W. Barthel's application to replace rotten wood on a porch at 80 W. 5th Street, approved as submitted.
- D. Shane's application for renovations at 47 W. 3rd Street, approved with provisos for materials and design.
- M. Moskovis's application to replace bricks at 10 E. 4th Street, approved as submitted.
- B. Allshouse's application to build a berm at 1 Packet Alley, approved as submitted.
- Spotswood, Inc.'s application to install shutters at 423 Delaware Street, approved with requirements for louvered shutters and hardware description.
- J. Geisel's application to replace a fireplace at 22 W. 3rd Street, approved with a proviso for a black-painted chimney cap.
- M. Gorak's application for an addition and repairs at 14 W. 5th Street, approved with provisos for materials and design.
- R. Vukevich's application to install a wall at 33 The Strand, previously approved in September 2013.
- Emergency applications were also reviewed, including approvals for M&T Bank, P. Free, G. Wirt, Delaware City Station, Immanuel Church, L. Deemer, and B. White, with one denial for A. Liggio due to non-compliance with required shingle materials.
