Summary

The purpose of Policy Number 05-409 is to regulate solicitation on property owned or controlled by Stephen F. Austin State University. The policy applies to all individuals and organizations using university property. Solicitation is defined as the sale, lease, rental, or offer for sale of any property, product, merchandise, publication, or service. Exceptions to the prohibition on solicitation include expressive activities, distribution of newspapers and magazines, sale of food and drink from vending machines, and sale of publications and services by the university or its subcontractors. University departments and the Alumni Association may be approved to solicit as agents of a commercial organization. All solicitation activities must be conducted in accordance with approved rules and regulations and must not disturb or interfere with academic programs or administrative activities.
