Summary

The Government of Sweden and the Secretariat of the Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS) have agreed on the immunity and privileges of the Secretariat and its staff. The agreement establishes the Secretariat as an international legal entity in Sweden, with full legal capacity to exercise its functions. The Secretariat, its property, and assets enjoy immunity from legal proceedings, and are exempt from direct taxes, indirect taxes, payroll taxes, social security contributions, and customs charges. The Government of Sweden undertakes to assist the Secretariat in obtaining suitable premises, provide inviolable premises and living quarters, and ensure access to necessary public services. The agreement also establishes visa formalities and border control procedures for individuals with business at the Organisation, including officials, experts, and representatives of Partner States and Organisations.
