Summary

Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association (WSHA) accepts housing applications from anyone 16+ years old. Applications can be obtained and returned via post, email, or in-person, and must include an equal opportunities form. The association assesses applications based on housing need, using an Allocations Policy, and awards points accordingly. Applicants with the highest points are offered properties when available. WSHA also conducts home visits to verify applicant circumstances and may request medical assessments for those with relevant conditions. Applicants can appeal point awards or complain about the application process. The association reviews its housing list regularly and removes inactive applications. As of 31/03/23, WSHA had 1052 people on its waiting list, with 35% of allocations going to the house waiting list, 20% to transfers, and 45% to homeless referrals.
