RO-JRC-ACQUIS corpus consists of 10,704 Romanian documents from the Acquis Communautaire, with 34,234,437 tokens, including 27,968,652 words. The corpus is represented in XML Corpus Encoding Standard (XCES) format, with UTF-8 encoding and Latin 2 character set, including Romanian diacritics. The corpus is annotated with morpho-syntactic information, including part-of-speech tagging, lemmatization, and chunking, with an accuracy of at least 98%. The corpus is intended for building robust statistical language models and can be used as a reference corpus for Romanian language investigation. The annotations are highly reliable, with manually validated paragraph and sentence mark-up, and automatically assigned morpho-syntactic information. The corpus is available for research purposes under a free license and for commercial purposes under a fee-based license.
