Summary

CME Group issues Advisory Notice RA2012-5, effective September 17, 2020, to harmonize references to Globex Terminal Operators and their identification to the Exchange. Rule 576 requires each Globex Terminal Operator to be identified by a unique operator ID, which must be between 2 and 18 bytes in length, and contain only alphanumeric characters or specific special characters. Clearing Members are responsible for ensuring operator ID uniqueness and providing the identity of individuals or teams assigned to each operator ID upon request. Operator IDs must be registered in the Exchange Fee System, and Clearing Members must maintain historical records related to operator ID assignments for at least five years.
