The 30th meeting of the Resource and Fuel Subcommittee of the Comprehensive Resource and Energy Investigation Committee was held on December 2, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:54 at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The meeting discussed the direction of resource and fuel policy towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The subcommittee chairman, Mr. Sumi, opened the meeting and introduced the new committee member, Mr. Waka, who is the chairman of the Japan Petroleum Chemical Industry Association. Mr. Waka was unable to attend the meeting, so Mr. Shimamura attended as his proxy.
