Summary

Consensus Policies are established pursuant to ICANN's Bylaws and due process, covering topics such as interoperability, technical reliability, security, and stability of the Internet, Registrar Services, and the Domain Name System (DNS). Temporary Policies are established by the ICANN Board on a temporary basis to maintain stability or security, and the Board shall state the period of time for which the Temporary Policy is adopted and immediately implement the Consensus Policy development process.
