Timeline:
- Fiscal 2014: Local surveys, design, and land acquisition
- Fiscal 2014: Completion of local coordination
- Fiscal 2016 onwards: Construction start
- Fiscal 2017 onwards: Initial operation and waste acceptance
- Within 30 years of intermediate storage start: Completion of final disposal outside Fukushima prefecture
