Summary

In 2021, a general election took place in Japan. The citizens and the opposition party's coalition won, and the Japanese Communist Party's rise to prominence led to the dissolution of the Abe government.

A group of Liberal Democratic Party members, led by former Diet member Yorihisa Abe, aimed to regain seats in the China bloc. On New Year's Day, they held an action in Iwakuni City, where they met with candidates from the same district, including Matsuda Shizuo and Kawashima Tatsuhisa. They promoted their "5 proposals for a new Japan" while vowing to regain seats in the China bloc.

The group also participated in a "New Year's signature campaign" at the Iwakuni Water Cooperative, calling for Japan to ratify the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty.

Sumi-yori, a proportional representative candidate, planned to campaign in Okazaki City and Kurashiki City in December. They achieved their goal of 100 street promotions, spreading the influence of the Communist Party in various areas.

In Okazaki City, Sumi-yori met with a high-ranking elderly man who said, "Neither Abe nor Suga will resign." They responded with a loud voice, "Don't give up! You won't join the LDP anymore!"

In Kurashiki City, Sumi-yori met with city councilor Tadashi Ito and promoted the Communist Party's 5 proposals, vowing to overthrow the Suga government and build a new politics under the coalition of opposition parties.
