- Kauhajoen Vammaisneuvoston Toimintaohje (1.8.2021 onwards):

- Purpose (Section 1): The Disability Council is a collaborative body for the city and its disability organizations, promoting cooperation and enhancing disability residents' influence.

- Composition (Section 2): The City Council appoints up to 11 members and their alternates, ensuring adequate representation for disabled individuals, their families, and organizations. The City Council, Wellbeing Board, and Suupohjan Peruspalveluliikelaitos Council appoint representatives. The Council elects a chairperson and vice-chairperson, and can invite experts as needed.

- Tasks (Section 3): The Council aims to:
1. Foster cooperation among authorities, organizations, and disabled individuals.
2. Monitor societal planning, decision-making, and actions to enhance disabled residents' participation and equality.
3. Initiate proposals and provide statements on issues related to disabled residents' participation and equality.
4. Handle other matters within its scope.
The Council is advisory, with no financial or decision-making power.

- Meeting Practices and Secretary's Duties (Section 4): The City Council appoints a secretary. Meetings are held as needed, at least twice a year. The chairperson or vice-chairperson, in collaboration with the secretary, convenes meetings. The secretary sends the agenda at least one week before the meeting. Decisions require at least half of the members and both chairpersons present. Members receive meeting fees and travel allowances according to the current financial regulations.

- Effective Date (Section 5): This guideline was approved by the City Council on 23.8.2021.
