La Ley 10/2014, de 3 de diciembre, de accesibilidad, tiene como objetivo mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas con movilidad reducida y promover la accesibilidad y la igualdad de oportunidades en la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia. La ley se basa en los principios de vida independiente, accesibilidad universal, diseño para todos, diálogo civil y transversalidad, y establece las condiciones básicas de accesibilidad y no discriminación en ámbitos como la edificación, los espacios urbanos, el transporte, la comunicación y la información. La ley también regula la accesibilidad en bienes y servicios, y establece un sistema de garantías para asegurar el cumplimiento de las normas de accesibilidad. La ley se enmarca en el contexto de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre los derechos de las personas con discapacidad y la Estrategia europea sobre la discapacidad 2010-2020, y tiene como objetivo promover la igualdad de oportunidades y la no discriminación de las personas con discapacidad en todos los ámbitos de la vida.
