Summary

El Manual de Procedimientos de la Defensoría Municipal de Derechos Humanos fue elaborado en junio de 2016 por el Lic. Eduardo Valencia Melgarejo, Defensor Municipal de Derechos Humanos, y aprobado por el Lic. Miriam Escalona Piña, Presidente Municipal Constitucional, y el M. en AP. Francisco Núñez Esquivel, Secretario del Ayuntamiento. El manual tiene como objetivo definir las atribuciones y funciones de la defensoría, así como su estructura organizacional y grado de responsabilidad. Entre sus funciones se incluyen recibir quejas por presuntas violaciones a Derechos Humanos, asesorar a la ciudadanía en áreas jurídicas y brindar pláticas informativas sobre Derechos Humanos. El manual también incluye procedimientos como la integración y reconducción del Plan de Desarrollo Municipal.
