Research has shown that comprehensive medication management can lead to improved patient outcomes, cost savings, and patient and physician satisfaction, with a return on investment as high as 12:1. ASHP agrees with the North Dakota Health Care Cost Study's recommendation for medication optimization and believes that H.B. 1095 improves on existing programs to ensure patients receive comprehensive medication management services.
