Summary

The Czech Republic submitted a report on the implementation of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) for the period 2015-2017. The report was compiled using the CMS Family Online National Reporting System. The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic is the National AEWA Administrative Authority, and Libuše Vlasáková is the Designated National Focal Point for AEWA matters. The report provides information on the conservation of migratory waterbird species, including legal measures, species conservation, and habitat conservation. The Czech Republic has protected all populations listed on AEWA Table 1, Column A, and has prohibited the taking of birds and eggs, deliberate disturbance, and possession or utilization of birds or eggs taken in contravention of the prohibition. Hunting of certain species, such as the Eurasian Curlew and Black-tailed Godwit, is not allowed in the country.
