Summary

New Jersey's Medical Assistance Advisory Council (MAAC) met on April 20, 2016, and discussed several updates, including Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), the Supports Program, and Managed Long Term Services and Supports (MLTSS). Three Medicaid ACOs were approved: Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, Healthy Greater Newark Accountable Care Organization, and Trenton Health Team. The Supports Program, launched in July 2015, provides services for adults with developmental disabilities, and CMS approved amendments to the program in February 2016. The MLTSS program has seen an increase in members receiving home and community-based services, with 37.5% of members receiving HCBS as of February 2016, and a decrease in the nursing facility population.
