Summary

Les habitants de la Chatqueue à Seraing se mobilisent contre l'implantation de l'usine Sobagi, qui traite des déchets industriels toxiques. Malgré les manifestations et les pétitions, l'usine a ouvert et les habitants ont constaté que les camions déversent des déchets dans les égouts et que le procédé industriel n'est pas au point, ayant déjà causé un accident. Le comité d'action a mené une enquête et a constaté que l'usine fonctionne au ralenti, mais traite des déchets provenant de Flandre et de Hollande, et que les camions citernes continuent de venir chaque jour au cratère de déversement de Cockerill. Un membre du comité, Jean-Marie Parent, a été condamné à une amende pour avoir participé à une manifestation contre l'usine. Les habitants continuent de se battre contre la pollution et les autorités communales qui les soutiennent.
