Summary

L'Équipe spéciale du système des Nations Unies pour les évacuations médicales liées à la COVID-19 a été créée pour assurer les évacuations sanitaires des membres du personnel des Nations Unies et des personnes à leur charge atteints de COVID-19. Le plan d'évacuation sanitaire (EVASAN) prévoit plusieurs options thérapeutiques, notamment les soins à domicile, l'hospitalisation et l'évacuation sanitaire, en fonction de la gravité de la maladie et de l'état clinique du patient. L'équipe spéciale a dressé la liste des capacités existantes dans tout le système des Nations Unies et examine les moyens à investir pour mettre en place un plan d'évacuation sanitaire COVID-19 commun et efficace. Des centres de traitement régionaux seront mis en place dans des lieux stratégiques, et un centre de coordination conjoint des Nations Unies pour les évacuations sanitaires liées à la COVID-19 sera chargé de coordonner les opérations médicales et aériennes. Un coordonnateur COVID-19 a été nommé dans chaque pays pour gérer sur le terrain les procédures d'évacuation sanitaire.
