To establish an OFC, one must obtain registration by the SFC, a Certificate of Incorporation, and a Business Registration Certificate. A one-stop approach is used for establishment, where the applicant submits all required documents and fees to the SFC. For a public OFC, the applicant must also comply with the SFC Products Handbook and submit an application for authorization. The application process involves submitting a duly signed and completed Application Form, Information Checklist, and other required documents, along with the applicable application fee. Fees for registration of a private OFC include HK$5,000 for a single OFC and HK$10,000 for an umbrella OFC, with an additional HK$1,250 for each sub-fund. For a public OFC, there is no separate registration fee, but the applicant is subject to fees for application for authorization and authorization.
