Most ECOWAS Member States plan to develop a national migration policy or strategy, aiming to address migration and create a regional labour market with facilitated access to employment. The study provides an overview of the migration situation and related policy frameworks in the region, with the ECOWAS Commission revising the Protocol on Free Movement of People.
