The 17th Meeting of Mission Operation Greens was held on 23.06.2020 to review the implementation of the scheme Operation Greens from TOP to TOTAL as part of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. The meeting discussed the new scheme approved on 10.06.2020, and the scheme guidelines notified and uploaded on the website on 11.06.2020. The State Governments were requested to give wide publicity to the scheme, advise the State Marketing Federation/Board to make procurement from small & marginal farmers, and provide a list of major fruits & vegetables due for harvest during June to Dec. The meeting also discussed the list of eligible crops, selected surplus production clusters, and trigger price for intervention under the extended Operation Greens Scheme. As of the meeting date, 60 applicants had registered on the Online Registration portal, and video conferencing meetings were held with food processors/retailers to explain the scheme. The trigger price required for intervention under the scheme was also discussed, and Agri Watch was requested to resubmit the list of production clusters for eligible crops as per the Horticulture at Glance 2018.
