Summary

China's CFETS provides an electronic trade system for RMB interest rate and FX derivatives, and is authorized as a TR-like entity, receiving and storing transaction data reported by market participants. There are no barriers for reporting to CFETS for domestic transactions, with both counterparties required to report data without masking counterparty information or needing consent. However, there is no regulation for reporting to foreign TRs or foreign authorities' access to CFETS-held data, requiring future consideration and cross-border regulatory cooperation.
