Pandemic Prevention Timeline.pdf

The Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) will meet to draft and negotiate a WHO convention, agreement, or other international instrument on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, with the following preliminary timeline and deliverables:
- 24 February 2022: Election of co-chairs and vice-chairs, definition of working methods
- 10-11 March 2022: Sixth meeting of the Working Group on Sustainable Financing
- 14-15 March 2022: Resumed session of the first INB meeting to determine an inclusive Member State-led process and agree on participation of stakeholders and timeline
- March-April 2022: Dual approach to solicit inputs from Member States on substantive elements
- Week of 11 April 2022: Public hearings
- 18-20 May 2022: Programme, Budget and Administration Committee of the Executive Board
- 22-28 May 2022: Seventy-fifth World Health Assembly
- June 2022: Continuation of the resumed session of the first INB meeting to agree on substantive elements and determine the process for developing a working draft
- July 2022: Second meeting of the INB to consider a working draft document
- August-October 2022: Regional consultations
- December 2022: Third meeting of the INB to consolidate inputs and consider a working draft document
- January 2023: Executive Board meeting
- February 2023: Fourth meeting of the INB
- March-April 2023: Drafting group to progress towards a consensus text
- April 2023: Fifth meeting of the INB
- May 2023: Seventy-sixth World Health Assembly
- June 2023: Continuation of the drafting group
- October 2023: Sixth meeting of the INB to review the drafting group's work
- December 2023: Seventh meeting of the INB
- February 2024: Eighth meeting of the INB
- March 2024: Ninth meeting of the INB to finalize the consensus text and report
- May 2024: Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly.
