Minutes of Ordinary Parish Council Meeting on 10th January 2013:
Present were Chairman Ms K. Watson, Vice Chairman Mr M Trist, Councillors Ms L. Dyos, Mrs P. Rowland, and Clerk Mrs Andrea Dickson, along with 8 members of the public.
Discussions included planning matters such as the Broadreeds planning appeal, Market Garden, Old Pump House, and Lower Kents.
Highway issues like Shepherd & Dog, Ladybrook Spring, Four Acres Corner, Clappers Lane, and potholes in Fulking and Poynings were addressed.
Other topics included Preston Nomads parking, Footpath 4f, community bus donation, Fountain, training courses, winter management, and a councillor vacancy.
A report from Councillor Peter Griffiths was not given due to his late arrival.
The Broadreeds planning appeal was discussed, with concerns over bridleway condition, parking, light and noise pollution, and potential increased noise from new owners.
North Town Field outgoings were reviewed, with decisions to continue funding mowing, maintenance, and playground inspections, but not tree work.
The village clean-up date was set for 24th March 2013, and estimates for making a feature of Ladybrook spring were requested.
Financial matters included payment of the clerk's salary and expenses, quarterly bank reconciliation, and budget discussions, resulting in a 15% increase in the precept for the 2013/14 financial year.
