Government Gazette Extraordinary of South Africa, dated June 3, 1964, contains several notices.

The Deputy Price Controller, G.J.J.F. Steyn, announces an amendment to Government Notice No. R. 48 of January 10, 1964, regarding the maximum prices of milk. The maximum price at which fresh milk may be sold to a distributor in Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging, or Nigel by a producer is 30.9 cents per 10.3 Ib.

The Minister of Agricultural Economics and Marketing, D.C.H. Uys, announces the imposition of a levy and special levy on milk and cream, as set out in the Schedule, in substitution for previous levies. The levies will come into operation with effect from the date of publication.

The Schedule outlines the rates of the levy and special levy on milk and cream sold in various areas, including Pretoria, Witwatersrand, Cape Peninsula, and Bloemfontein. The levies are payable by distributors, producer-distributors, and producers who have been authorized to sell milk or cream in these areas.

Another notice, No. R. 852, dated June 1964, announces the imposition of prices of milk and cream by the Milk Board, with the approval of the Minister of Agricultural Economics and Marketing. The prices will come into operation with effect from the date of publication.
