Summary

The Deputy Minister of Labour declares that the provisions of the Agreement relating to the Building Industry shall be binding upon employers, employees, and trade unions in the industry, with certain exclusions, from the second Monday after publication of the notice and for a period of five years. The provisions will also be binding upon all Bantu employed in the industry by employers upon whom any of the said provisions are binding, and upon those employers in respect of Bantu in their employ. The notice defines various terms, including "gevaarlike werk" (hazardous work), "noodsaaklike dienste" (essential services), and "arbeider" (worker), and outlines the scope of work that falls under the Agreement.
