Rules were made under the Indian Telegraphs Act, 1885, and the Land Titles Ordinance, 1908. The Indian Telegraphs Act rules introduce "Plain Language Cable Letter Telegrams" to be accepted for transmission to the United States and Canada at specified rates. The Land Titles Ordinance rules introduce a fee for the custody of documents, specifically a fee of two shillings per certificate per month or part of a month for certificates of ownership ready for delivery on or after December 1, 1924.
