Summary

Effective Date: October 1, 2023

- Permitted Backloading: The Harbormaster will approve backloading (pipeline cargo) of petroleum, alternative fuels, and fuel blending components (alcohol, bio-diesel, feedstocks) from terminal facilities within Port Everglades on a case-by-case basis.
- Berthing Priority: Backloading operations will have lower priority for berthing compared to ships and barges discharging petroleum products.
- Wharfage Exemption: No wharfage fees will be charged for products backloaded as cargo if wharfage has already been paid on the inbound movement, unless these products have undergone processing, manufacturing, blending, or other changes, in which case charges will apply according to specific tariff items (535, 1057, 1066).
- Bunker Exemption: No wharfage fees will be charged for bunkers backloaded to barges for redelivery to vessels at Port Everglades.
- Other Charges: All other applicable tariff charges remain in effect.
