Die Arbeitsgruppen Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend sowie Bürgerschaftliches Engagement der SPD-Bundestagsfraktion fordern eine Stärkung des Bürgerschaftlichen Engagements in Deutschland. Über 30 Millionen Menschen engagieren sich in Deutschland für das Gemeinwohl, was die tragende Säule der demokratischen Gesellschaft darstellt. Die Arbeitsgruppen fordern die Aufhebung des Kooperationsverbotes im Bereich der Engagementförderung, die geschlechtergerechte Besetzung von Entscheidungsgremien in Engagementstrukturen und die Förderung einer Anerkennungskultur und Wertschätzung für Engagierte. Ziel ist es, eine moderne und zukunftsfähige Engagementpolitik zu entwickeln, die die Demokratie stärkt und die Zivilgesellschaft unterstützt.
