Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council is seeking to standardize its Sports Grant Programme, currently administered through four separate Sports Advisory Committees (SACs) in different legacy borough areas. The programme provides funding support for sporting organizations and individuals, including categories such as travel, events, coaching, equipment, and seeding.

Officers have engaged with SAC representatives to reach a consensus on a single grant programme, with two options considered:
1. Local SACs apply to the Council for money to administer independently, subject to audit.
2. The Funding Unit administers the Grant Programme with a standardized process.

A majority consensus (3 out of 4 SACs) has been reached to progress with Option 2, establishing a CCG Sports Forum to ensure local knowledge transfer and input. The remaining SAC prefers Option 1. Officers consider the current method unsustainable and propose moving forward with Option 2.
