SAFE ROUTES TO PUBLIC PLACES PROGRAM (SRTPPP):
- Annual application period: February to April.
- Eligible projects: Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Roadway Improvements.
- Eligible roads: State or locally owned.
- Applicants: Public entities, with roadway owner as project sponsor for public roads.
- Funding: Up to $350,000 for construction and right-of-way, 100% federal.

LOCAL ROAD SAFETY PROGRAM (LRSP):
- Quarterly application evaluation.
- Focus: Severe and fatal crashes, low-cost, high-impact safety measures.
- Eligible projects: Horizontal curve treatments, intersection signing, roadway hazard removal, etc.
- Eligible roads: Locally owned only.
- Applicants: Public entities owning the roadway.
- Funding: No limit, projects up to 100% funded, cost-benefit analysis required for projects over $500,000.
