Methodology involves delimiting the urban area, identifying public transportation stops, and computing the indicator. The Degree of Urbanisation (DEGURBA) method is proposed to define urban areas, classifying territories along the urban-rural continuum. Data on public transportation stops, modes, and frequencies are required, but currently, there are no pan-European data available, and standardization of data models needs improvement.
