On June 14 to 16, 2011, the Executive Technical Groups (GTEs) meeting on Project Portfolio Update and Preliminary Identification of Priority Projects for the Priority Project Agenda (APP) was held in Bogotá, Colombia. The goals were to revise and update the Portfolio for the nine Integration and Development Hubs (EIDs), complete the definition of the features and selection criteria for the projects, and conduct a preliminary identification of such projects. A new meeting of the GTEs was scheduled for July 19 to 21 in Montevideo to select projects by consensus. The agenda will be submitted at the Eighteenth Meeting of IIRSA National Coordinators on August 29 and 30 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Countries were required to confront the preliminary list of projects against the selection criteria agreed upon at the Bogotá meeting, complete the project database, and send the information to the CCT Secretariat by July 12. The CCT will process this information and deliver it to the countries before the Montevideo meeting opening date.

Representatives of countries involved in the Hubs, National Coordinators, national officials, CCT representatives, experts, and consultants are expected to participate. The agenda includes debates on the Strategic Action 2012-2022, presentation of the draft document on the APP, review and debate of projects proposed by countries, and selection of projects to be included in the APP.

On Tuesday, July 19, the meeting will start with opening remarks by the National Coordination of Uruguay, introduction to the work methodology, and debate about the PAE. The draft document on the APP will be presented, and the review and debate of projects proposed by countries will take place. On Wednesday, July 20, the review and debate of projects proposed by countries will continue, and on Thursday, July 21, the review and debate of projects will conclude, and conclusions and next steps will be discussed.
