Summary

The Seattle Land Use Code requires developments to provide street or alley improvements, but exceptions can be granted by the Director of the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI) if certain site characteristics exist. Exceptions can be made for street and alley improvements if conditions such as location in an environmentally critical area, disruption of existing drainage patterns, or removal of natural features make improvements impractical or undesirable.
