The June 4, 2012 meeting of the Hanover Township Northampton County Planning Commission convened at 7:30 PM at the Township Municipal Building. Attendees included Susan Lawless (Chair), Joseph Hilton, Jim Sterner, Barry Check, Vivian Zumas, Richard Kanakie, and James Milot of Hanover Engineering Associates. The minutes for the May 7, 2012 meeting were approved by motion (Hilton, Sterner, Check, Zumas voted yes; Kanakie and Lawless abstained).
The Commission approved waivers for SALDO sections 152-10.I.(6)(a), (6)(b), (6)(c), 152-10.I.(10), 152-11.B, and 152-9.H for the Traditions of America at Bridle Path project, with all members voting yes except Kanakie who abstained on the initial motion. A waiver request for stormwater management within the building setback line was noted for the Patient First Facility project at 2310 Schoenersville Road. Engineering comments indicated a right turn lane along Jacksonville Road at the intersection was needed for safety due to traffic congestion, though the developer claimed it was unnecessary based on trip generation. Resident concerns included landscape buffers, parking overflow, traffic safety, water access, and tree impacts. The July meeting was rescheduled to July 9 due to planner vacations. Jim Sterner confirmed his last meeting would be July 9 before relocating to South Carolina.
