Summary

Meeting held July 11, 2011 at 7:30 PM at Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, PA. Five members attended: Joseph Hilton, Paul Kuehne, James Narlesky, Jim Sterner, Barry Check. Minutes of June 6, 2011 meeting approved by motion (Kuehne seconded by Check).

Dewire Estates Lot 14 grading plan approved subject to Hanover Engineering's July 8, 2011 letter. Lot 14 requires 35% Woodlands preservation (variance allowed 26% coverage). Commission recommended proactive meetings with lot owner, developer, and Hanover Engineering to resolve grading and Woodlands preservation matters.

Zoning Ordinance Amendment (Chapter 185, Section 185-45) reviewed. Commission motioned to recommend approval of amendment with deletion of section "F" due to problematic wording regarding occupancy certificates and retroactive revocation. Required corrections included adding "(B.C.0.)" after Building Code Official and modifying inspection language. Commission also recommended establishing a uniform inspection checklist communicated to residents and public education via Hanover Township newsletter and website. All motions carried unanimously.
