The International Transport Forum is an intergovernmental organisation with 64 member countries, acting as a think tank for transport policy and organising the Annual Summit of transport ministers, with a mission to foster a deeper understanding of the role of transport in economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion. The ITF works for transport policies that improve people's lives, organising global dialogue for better transport, and analysing trends, sharing knowledge, and promoting exchange among transport decision makers and civil society. The ITF Roundtables bring together international experts to discuss specific topics on economic and regulatory aspects of transport policies, with findings published in a Summary and Conclusions paper. A recent Roundtable discussed broadening transport appraisal to capture the full impact of transport investments, with expert discussions and input papers from 21 ITF member countries, resulting in a report summarising the discussions and conclusions. The report includes a glossary of key terms, such as accessibility, benefit-cost ratio, cost-benefit analysis, discounting, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
