The updated Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) Policy, effective 11 May 2022, implements DoDI 1322.33 and supersedes the previous CA Policy dated 10 September 2020. It applies to the Regular Army, Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve.

Eligibility & Exclusions:
- Soldiers must complete specified professional military education and reflect the required military education level in ArmyIgnitED before CA can be approved.
- Eligible upon achieving MOSQ: Enlisted after AIT, Warrant Officers after WOBC, Officers after BOLC.
- Ineligible: Contracted ROTC cadets, Green to Gold ROTC, flagged Soldiers, those approved for voluntary or involuntary separation, insufficient time-in-service, IRR/INNG.

CA Authorizations:
- Any credential in Army COOL, multiple credentials allowed.
- Payment for classroom, hands-on, online, or blended training, materials, fees.
- Subject to TA funding ceiling; combined TA and CA usage limited to fiscal year TA limit.
- Electronic SOU required before receiving CA.

CA Exclusions & Limitations:
- ArmyIgnitED account and request submission required.
- No repetition of successfully completed preparatory portions, except for renewal.
- No concurrent use of CA and ACTEDS funds for the same course by dual-status Soldiers.
- Doctoral-level credentials allowed, but not doctoral classes.
- Not authorized for: college/graduate admissions testing prep, Career Skills Programs, required MOS credentials, professional credentials (including renewals), apprenticeships, internships, or externships.

Request Procedures & Timelines:
- Meet with an Army Education Counselor before submission.
- Contact vendor for quote, matching ArmyIgnitED CA request (except for specified vendors).
- Submit separate CA requests for each credentialing course/exam to ArmyIgnitED at least 30 business days before start date, but no more than 90 days from submission date, with end date within one calendar year of start date.
- Late submissions (less than 30 business days) rejected or not considered for exception-to-policy funding.
