Summary

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and the UK Department of Health (DH) have been accused of concealing information about severe adverse reactions and contraindications to vaccinations from parents and health practitioners to promote vaccination rates and achieve "herd immunity". Official documents reveal that the JCVI made efforts to withhold critical data, skewed or removed unfavourable safety data, and downplayed safety concerns while over-inflating vaccine benefits. The JCVI's actions appear to violate their own Code of Practice and international guidelines for medical ethics. Transcripts of JCVI meetings show that some members had ties to pharmaceutical companies and that the JCVI co-operated with vaccine manufacturers to boost vaccine uptake. The JCVI's actions may have put children at risk of severe long-term neurological damage.
