RACMA's 2022-2024 policy and advocacy intent is to support medical leaders in improving healthcare and advocating for a better health system. The College will provide support through policy and advocacy to enable cultural safety, advocate for trained medical leaders, engage the medical workforce, and influence health system policy. Priorities include advocating for trained medical leaders, supporting member wellbeing, fostering medical leadership in Indigenous healthcare, and developing diversity and inclusion policies. Actions include developing position statements, contributing to policy development, and collaborating with other agencies. The policy and advocacy intent is aligned with RACMA's strategic plan goals and values, which include being the recognized voice of health leadership, providing high-quality education and training, delivering member services, and advancing the influence of RACMA. Guiding principles include professionalism, integrity, excellence, and respect, with a focus on healthcare, community, culture, and health system planning and development.
