My name’s Stephen Phillips, I’m one of four Assistant Commissioners appointed to assist the Boundary Commission in this review.
We’re here to assess the representations made and make recommendations to the Commissioners on any changes that we think appropriate to the initial proposals.

The UK Parliament has determined that each constituency in the UK shall not have more than 105% and not less than 95% of the UK electoral quota, namely 73,393 electors.
The Commission launched its initial proposals in September, and we received 1,211 representations during that period.
The majority of the representations received were focused on specific areas, particularly for West Wales and for North Wales.
CC: My main issue is with Alyn and Deeside is the inclusion of those two wards from Wrexham into the Flintshire constituency, it makes no logical sense.
My proposal was that we actually put those two wards back in Wrexham and take two wards from Delyn and add them into Alyn and Deeside, it makes logical sense to add them in there.
