The 3rd year of the Reiwa era Toyama Prefecture Production Material Building Competition aims to promote the use of prefecture-produced materials and raise awareness among citizens. The competition has two categories: residential and non-residential.

To be eligible, buildings must have been completed between October 2018 and October 2021, use prefecture-produced materials, and be located in Toyama Prefecture.

The judging criteria include building design, architectural techniques, and the use of prefecture-produced materials.

In the 3rd year of the Reiwa era, there were 10 entries in the residential category and 4 entries in the non-residential category.

The non-residential category winners were:
- Grand Prize (Toyama Prefectural Governor's Award): Toyama Prefectural University Student Union
- Award of Excellence: Wood Link Co., Ltd. Toyama Office

The residential category winners were:
- Award of Excellence: Matsubara's House, Naname Wall House, and Kinaneko House
- Special Award: Layered House

The Toyama Prefectural University Student Union, which won the Grand Prize, is a student exchange and community exchange facility that uses CLT (cross-laminated timber) for the construction of its strength wall, a first for a public building in the prefecture.
