Japan's civil engineering products are not as well-known overseas as its industrial products, despite their high quality and functionality. The Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) is working to promote its international activities, including the formation of an international project development committee. The society is also participating in the Asian Civil Engineering Coordinating Council (ACECC), which aims to promote sustainable social capital in the Asian region. The ACECC's 43rd Executive Committee Meeting and the 9th Asian Civil Engineering Conference (CECAR9) were held in India, and JSCE members actively participated in the events. The conference featured presentations on various topics, including disaster resilience and infrastructure maintenance, and JSCE members received awards for their contributions. The society is also promoting international cooperation in the field of concrete engineering, including a joint seminar with Singapore on the theme of "Challenges and Advanced Technologies for Concrete under Heat Effects.
